Library Going Green!
It's a new year and one of our resolutions is to cut back on the amount of plastic bags given out at the Circulation Desk. For the past ten years we have offered free plastic bags to carry home materials. Many of these bags are thrown out after one use and are not reused. They are also not "free" as there is a cost to the library and the environment when they are discarded and end up in a landfill or worse, litter our neighborhoods and waterways. The Friends of the Library offer several reusable library bags that will last for years and are available at a reasonable cost. You may want to bring your own plastic grocery bags, and we will provide a box to recycle some too. Thank you for your cooperation.

Friends Brick Project
The second order of commemorative bricks for the Friends of the Library Brick Project was placed in early December. These bricks will be installed in the library parking lot next spring. The first order of bricks which are already installed are located on either side of the south sidewalk. The Friends wish to thank everyone who participated in this project.
